the need for self discipline 

1st corithians 9:24-25 ” Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” 

Today this seemed to hit home! I know so many friends who are relying on quick fixes to achieve a fitness goal… i know i already made a post about people relying on these but more so than not on facebook i have a new friend starting plexus or the 21 day fix or advocare and shakeology. i am not bashing any of these products because i have never tried them but i would much rather bust my ass at the gym and create a lifestyle that i am in control of rather than mixing some powder and water and calling it a meal. 

i miss everyone relying on the old fashion way of losing weight: eat healthy and exercise. it truly is as simple as that. so simple yet everyone turns it into this hard task because they do not want to put the time and effort into eating healthy and making time for the gym! 

in the end remember that you are running this race to change your life and the one thing to take away from a weightloss journey is healthy habits so that your crown can last forever. do not rely on these programs because 6 months from now when you are tired of paying all that money on product you are going to fall back into your old ways. look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you want change. only you can change your future and only you can control what your outcome is! 

Today i started back on ab ripper! i am going to stay on schedule this time and stick to it! gotta get these abs ready for summer!  day one photo and i will continue to track my progress  over next few weeks! 

i must also share my dinner because it was absolutely delicious! i went to salad creations and got the strawbery chicken salad! yum! it was chicken, strawberries, walnuts, spring mix, mandarin oranges, cranberries and goat cheese! it was my first time having goat cheese…and im IN LOVE! Yum!  

as tomorrow is wednesday i will begin meal planning for next week! does anyone have any dinner suggestions or snack ideas to go with my lunches?? id love some nee options!

    It’s always funny when people ask what I’m doing to lose weight and I say counting calories and working out. I feel like they are always expecting something else! Also is a great website for recipes! She always has the nurtrition facts too! I swear by her wonton cupcakes! Once you learn the basic concept of the cupcakes it’s so easy to do them in any style of food that you are craving!!
